FIREPLACES

We can reconstruct fireplaces to offer a wide variation of finish and design, including adding bricks slips and stone cladding to your fireplace surround.

We also work with a Stonemason who can design and build bespoke formal stone fireplaces and hearths to compliment your room.

We have a selection of realistic non-combustible fireplace beams. Each beam is handmade and meticulously finished by craftsmen to look realistic.

stoves

Stoves come in a wide variety of sizes and designs to suit your taste and your property’s needs. At Chivers Stove Centre, our stoves come in a range of sizes that start at 4kw, all the way up to 12kw.

To choose the right stove, you must first calculate your room’s cubic capacity and divide by 14.  This is an approximation of required heat output.

There are other factors involved in deciding on your stove size, such as optimal room temperature, how many windows and doors the room has and building insulation.

At Chivers Stove Centre, our very knowledgeable and friendly team are always on hand to offer advice on choosing the correct size stove.

Ecodesign is the new design for stoves that will mean stoves will now have to meet a certain regulatory standard in relation to energy and emissions as set out by the EU.

the new flexifuel system

The new Flexigrate design has now been introduced to the majority of models.  This grate system is unique to Arada and has been designed to increase the efficiency of the stove by burning more of the available fuel. The Ecoburn 4 Plus model is one of the most efficient stoves on the market.

The crucible shape of the Flexigrate ensures that fuel is constantly fed towards the centre of the fire therefore there is no unburnt fuel. The unique dimples on the grate bars fill with ash to help protect from heat damage.  The unique crucible shape also helps to build a natural layer of ash to optimise combustion efficiency.

HEARTHS

A non-combustible hearth is required. This can be stone, slate, granite, glass etc. We offer a choice of stone for hearths which are made to order and fitted by ourselves.

We can also put you in touch with a local Stonemason that can design a stone fireplace and hearth to your own requirements in Bath stone, Limestone etc.
